Psychometric Standards

Our assessment is based on the Cattell-Horn-Carroll (CHC) theory of cognitive abilities, which is the most widely accepted and empirically supported framework in modern intelligence research. This model recognizes that intelligence is a hierarchy, with 'general intelligence' (g) at the top, supported by several broad 'factors' like fluid reasoning and processing speed.

Test Design

Our test consists of 25-40 items (depending on the version) that have been rigorously vetted for clarity and difficulty. We use a 'Culture-Fair' approach, meaning we prioritize non-verbal, pattern-based tasks to minimize the impact of education, language, and cultural background on your score.

Scoring and Normalization

We use a 'Deviation IQ' model. We periodically 'norm' our results against a representative sample of the global population to ensure that the mean score remains 100 with a standard deviation of 15. This allows your score to be interpreted as a percentile rank—showing exactly where you stand in relation to others.

Limitations

While our test provides a high-quality estimate, it is important to remember that it is an online assessment. It is not a clinical diagnosis. For a full clinical workup (for example, to diagnose a learning disability), you should always consult with a licensed psychologist for an in-person, proctored exam like the WAIS-IV.
